Department of Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is one of the most diverse streams of engineering touching some parts of many other branches like aerospace, electrical, civil, chemical and even materials science and bio-engineering. Some prominent topics in this branch are Materials, solid and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, control, product design and manufacturing processes.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2010. The department offers B.E (Mechanical Engineering) from the academic year 2010 – 2011, MDE (Machine Design Engineering) from the academic year 2017 – 2018. The ME department became a part of Sharanbasva University in the year 2017. Our vision is to provide quality education to inculcate globally competent attitude with strong ethical abilities for lifelong learning and serving the society. Our mission is to create efficient mechanical engineers who can compete at the global level. We intend to do this by creating a research hub engaged in contemporary research in association with industries. The projects and hands-on activities are designed to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among students and to enable a few to launch their own ventures.

Mission

•TO PROVIDE HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATION TO STUDENTS, AS WELL AS TO ENHANCE THEIR SKILLS BY BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION WITHIN STUDENTS ON CORE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES, EXPANDS REASONING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITIES TO MAKE THEM GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE MECHANICAL ENGINEERS.
•TO EXPOSE OUR STUDENTS TO A CURRICULUM CONSISTING OF SOPHISTICATED LABORATORIES, INTERDISCIPLINARY SUBJECTS AND INDUSTRIAL TRAININGS TO ADDRESS THE EVOLVING NEEDS OF INDUSTRY AND SOCIETY.
•TO STRENGTHEN OUR STUDENTS WITH INNOVATIVE IDEAS AND ALSO DEVELOP THE LEADERSHIP QUALITIES THROUGH SEVERAL PROJECTS IN THEIR CURRICULUM.
